King Midas is a character featured on ABC's Once Upon a Time. He is a king with the power to turn anything into solid gold with a single touch, and is portrayed by Alex Zahara.
Biography
Background
After getting Prince David from another kingdom to slay a dragon that lived near Midas' kingdom, Midas expresses his ideas of joining the two kingdoms, and offers David his daughter Abigail's hand in marriage. David begrudgingly accepts. However, David eventually frees Abigail's true love Frederick after he was accidentally turned into gold by King Midas.
Alternate Timeline
Midas holds a ball at his solid gold castle, celebrating the engagement of David and Abigail. Two of the guests at the ball introduce themselves as "Prince Charles and Princess Leia", but they are eventually revealed to be allies of the bandit Snow White. Midas reports Snow's presence to Queen Regina, whose knights fail to capture Snow but manage to capture Emma.
