Giant Squid, also called Kraken, are creatures featured on ABC's Once Upon a Time. They are described as being the rarest species of squid, residing at the bottom of the bottomless ocean, in Neverland. Its ink is used to defeat enemies, restore memories or disintegrate things.

The squid's ink is said to only be able to be harvested by mermaids or the Dark One, Rumplestiltskin. Cinderella uses the squid's ink to magically and temporarily paralyze Rumplestiltskin. Captain Hook is briefly attacked by a giant squid, until it is slain by Hook's brother Liam.
Season 3[]
In Neverland, Rumplestiltskin's son Baelfire blows into a large shell to summon a giant squid, which rises from the ocean, before they manage to harvest it for its ink to use it against Peter Pan.
Trivia[]
- They are based on the giant squid from Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea and the kraken from Norse Mythology.
